Last Brigade Has Left Iraq

On Wednesday the 4th Striker Brigade of the Second Infantry Devision crossed into Kuwait. This was the last full combat brigade to leave Iraq. The war started in March 2003 and now seven years and four months later the Obama Administration is keeping its word to get every U.S troop out of Iraq by 2011. As a result Operation Iraqi Freedom becomes Operation New Dawn. The next stage in the war will be to train and advise the Iraqi forces to take over the job of the U.S Troops. Only 50,000 soldiers remain to assist the Iraqis. They have been stationed in Camp Victory outside of Bagdad, Tikrit, and in Basra.
